Looking for an old concert date...
#1

There was a show taped for A Canadian Music video channel, I believe it was Much Music, but I'm not sure. The show was in a very intimate club and people were packed in and piled out to the entrance. Standing room only. It was filmed prior to 2000. I'm pretty sure of that. Other than that, I cant find the date. I'm actually looking for a copy of the performance. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'd say 1998-07-07
The "Something On" Much Music Special.
London, Ontario

Here's a video from it: (Warning... the audio is severely out of synch near the beginning.)

When you mention standing room only - and out the door - this Much Music show comes to mind:

I believe it may be the first one. I remember Grace, Too being on the set list. Now, any idea where I can get a bootleg of the video?

If it was a MM show I'm sure that the DVDs have been torrented through the tracker... Join the site and post a request; I'm sure someone will fill it.

Misty Moon was 88 or 89 I think, possibly a bit later. No Grace on the set list that's for sure. Road Apples probably wasn't released when that show aired.

I guess I should have clarified that by MM I meant MuchMusic.

was it the one where an audiance member asked them to play Cordelia and Gord asked him to come up and sing it? The guy came up, tried his best, i'll give him that, but it was pretty bad all the same.

Okay, I need to hear this. That's one of my dreams: to nervously sing with the Hip, making a fool of myself. I'd do anything to have a chance to do that.
