'Get Back Again'
#1

Just listening to this in my car on the way to work this morning and wondering why it never made it onto Road Apples. Anyone know the history behind it and if it ever gets played live?
Reminds me alot of a song by an Australian band but can't quite put my finger on who. Hip original?

Everything I know, I learned at a museum:

Get Back Again: Gorgeous ballad written by Gord Sinclair, played often in 1990. It was eventually recorded for Road Apples, but never released. A fan favorite, it was brought back every once in a while, and even played live on the radio in 1992. Last played in Kingston in February, 1995. Among diehard Hip Heads, it remains the most requested of the unreleased material, and is perhaps the most deserving of a release

And as a side note - I remember from an interview a long time ago Rob Baker said the reason Radio Show never made it onto an album is because it was way too much like a Doors song - I think Riders On The Storm he said.

Wasn't there something about the song being set for release on Road Apples, but at the last minute, it was requested that Fiddler's Green be on it, so Get Back Again was cut? Don't know if I'm remembering this wrong or not.

Yeah, that's what I am wondering. I'm stumped as to why it was left off of RA. I think it's a better song than a couple of tracks that were left on the album by far. Not that I am any connoisseur of great taste in music in everyone's opinion, I'm sure.......... Smile It's just such a beautiful song.

Is there not a live video recording of that song from the Misty Moon in Halifax from the late 80's or early 90's. I'm pretty sure that was on the set list although it has been quit awhile since I have wathed it. Great song.

You know what I love about this video?
About 25 seconds in - in the bottom left - some dude in a white shirt bashes another dude right in the face.

I could watch that 75 times in a row! April 6th, 1990. Wow. Almost 20 years ago. Hard to believe.

Your wish is my command....Well, kinda - thanx Museum:

Get Back Again

Hmm, and it seems I have been really stressing the "or so" part of my downloads.
Requests? Requests?
