The Spades tak with Gord
#1

Hey Folks,
My name is James McKenty and I play with a band called The Spades. Gord Sinclair is working with us these days on our new album and being a generally wicked guy. Was talking to him today and he said that he feels thier new album is slightly different sounding and possibly a bit heavier. He seems happy with the results and excited to hit the road soon. The album is ofcourse produced by the man that recorded Queens of the stone age and we know that turned out to be a good thing.

Who produced Q Of TSA cd?

I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!

I believe it was Adam Kasper, also involved with Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden.

I like the sound of that. 8)

Ya see, I really, really, really don't know what to expect...
It's going to be a heavier album with the producer of Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Weezer and Queens Of The Stone Age...

I truly love each of these bands, but are we going to lose Mr. Downie's vocal melody? Is there still going to be passionate progression and subtle sly lyrics... heres hoping that in three weeks we hear one of the best Hip singles of all time...

Kasper was at the boards for "You Know Your Right", the formerlly lost Nirvana song, which in my opinon was just a killer song. It was amazing that it was recorded now ten years ago. Oh, what could have been.

Cheers

I don't believe the band will turn into a Nickelback clone with Adam Kaspar producing; they arent some band desperate to make the big time, plus its like Gord has said before, they make the music they love to play.

Gord came out to some of our kingston shows so that is how we met him. He is one of the most easy going guys I've met. We are enjoying music with him. We plan to go east and west this summer. Hip21 do you play music in a band?
