Sigh, sigh , so quenched and crestfallen I am, I write this in bitterness , the burdon of loss...Oh yes , I was at Riverbend Station (pub) , I was bitter , I jinxed the Flames , NO Riverbend did , I went against instinct , I thought Heineken and ordered Molsons. What a mistake , game is going along , I predicted 2-1 Flames in OT , we're down 1-0, bring on the Molsons. OK, so because myself and another friend are swilling the pride of every patriotic commercial , I receive a contest entry , well... last name to be drawn and I win. A "Go Flames Go" t-shirt , cool , but when I go up there I state "I wish I would have won the hat because my Flames hat was beat up , from the beginning of the year i've been wearing it. I thought the hat was good luck , and it is .... So anyways I get the t-shirt , pleased as punch (regardless of the wasps circling the sugar filled drink ). The waitress comes by , "You wanna trade that for the hat ?" HELL YEAH !!! I get the :censored hat , it's a Molsons hat , no Flames logo on it , I bickered , " I thought I was getting the Flames hat !! Can I get the shirt back ?" NO . No you can't, You Mother :censored ers , ok , you are going down , I get a Molsons hat , I cast it aside , I will eat glass before I wear it , so someone else at the table takes it , good riddance !! If I had received a Flames hat , it would have been 2-1 in OT ... Instead we are scored on , I will not watch another game at that pub, JINXED. No more Molsons , I will devour Heineken , the pride of The Netherlands , before I touch Molsons . It sure was good to see, I think it was Ference or Warrener, kicking the crap out of Stillman , Stillman is a floater , make no mistake ,we traded 3 small players , St.Louis (always played hard) Savard ( floater/whiner) and Stillman ( floater/whiner)(4 including Theo) .Good to see his ass kicked , he loses his linemates and he ends up like Rob Brown with Pittsburgh , no career . Tampa looked nothing like the first game , Kipper was awesome!! ..Believe me , i'm trying to get tickets like you wouldn't believe , got my brother trying in BC , my neighbor , my Aunt. They have a contest on the radio , "What would you trade for a Game 3 ticket" , highest bidder is offering , I think it was a 2002 Sunfire . Meanwhile in Tampa , the scalpers figure by game time tonight the tickets would be selling for less than face value . CBC got their second highest ratings for a hockey game- Game 1, ever, since Game 7 of Vancouver Vs. NYR in 94. To give you an idea what it's like here , a judge suspended jury proceedings in a case so they could watch the game the other night.
