Taping Shows at the Upcoming Tour
#1

I would love to begin taping shows this tour (audio). My seats are always reasonably close as I get them as soon as they go on sale. I was just wondering if a few of the more experienced tapers out there could give a bit of help and advice. Or even if you just know about this stuff. Like,

1. What equipment do you use? Brand?
2. How much does it cost?
3. Where can you get it?
4. Where is the best place to record from (for sound quality)?

I'm not looking for one of the large mic stands or anything like that. Just something to get started on and help spread the music to the Hip community.

I have seen some people recording with very small equipment, even a mic that clips to your hat. Something like that would be perfect.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks fellas!

i currently use a mindv camera which i hope do do the canada day show no i have a good battery

for audio i say it depends on how much you want to spend you could get a jukebox 3 and use that or go way of ron and get a md player

as for mics any mic will do but now sound quality is a major factor go with core sound binirals which are probably one of the best mics out there if you cant afford those go with the sony mic ron mentioned that will run you about $50 or so
