Hey everyone. Im 25 and think its time for my first car. going test driving tomorrow and have a budget of around 25K range...appreciate any ideas.
IM thinking the Mazda 3 Sport :thumb:

I'd get either;
An '80s Lincoln Continental or
An '80s Grand Marquis or
An '80s Chevrolet Caprice.
(Then I personally would paint it sheer black or cherry red, get them spinners on the hubs and hydraulics on them shocks, buy myself a pair of gold-rimmed glasses and a black leather trenchcoat, put a briefcase full of drugs in the trunk and go to Las Vegas, pickin up hookers along the way... No better way to spend a Sunday!)
They're gas-guzzlers, hence; the new job as a pimp. :thumb:

I drive a 99 Silverado 4X4. I take it you're looking for a car though. I tell ya, you can't go wrong with a Honda or Toyota.

yup, first car at 25. Ive been able to get away with biking my ass around. For the past year and a half though ive been doing 125K a week, even through the winter, five days a week, and it is slowly killing me!
on the plus side im in pretty good shape, ive saved shitloads of cash and have lots of other nice toys :lol:

Honda all the way. (And right now they have a deal on with really low finiance/lease rates)
Get a fully loaded Civic, with leather interior. A great car, excellent resale value, fantastic fuel economy, and a great track record of performance.
The Mazda 3 is a new model, without any history. Who knows how it will stand up to the test of time. I'm always wary of buying a car during it's initial release.

I'd HIGHLY recommend getting yourself a car that's a year or two old. Buy one off the lot and you're going to loose a lot of its value just driving it off the lot.

mazda 3 is a wikid nice car theres a mazda dealership next to my house i see those all the time i have thought of buying one myself but i would go with the pontiac GTO 2005

Test drove 3 cars. Didnt think it would take as long as it did.
Cars:
Pontiac Vibe - had the best seats and was pretty much the most comfortable car ive ever sat in! Big but still car like and could easily pass for an SUV but, worst in appearance and base model as expensive as others loaded.
[b]Honda Civic Si [/b]- NIce price tag and had a good reputation. But felt very cheap and had very litte response when i slammed on the gas. No rear wheel well...just fibreglass. was weird, looked from thr front and could see the exaust through the wheel well...and took forever to get a test drive...was not very busy...guy knew little about the car. No honda for sure!
Mazda 3 - Drives as good as it looks. Very simple interior but had 160 Hp, and you could really see the difference between this and the other 2 (all 4 cylinder cars). Absolutely loved this car. Nice pick up and stopps on a diome..literally!
But still not decided. Right now between the vibe and mazda 3...lots of reading to come!

It's all personal preference, but if it's close...
GM and Honda have a huge manufacturing presence in Ontario. Mazda doesn't.
Auto parts are a very significant part of Ontario's economy.

I bought a Mazda 3 about 3 weeks ago. It's my third Mazda. No, I'm not obsessed with Mazda, but I've never had any problems with them. I bet you can't find anybody who has.
I was very impressed with the pick up on this car. It's only a four cylinder, but feels like a V6. Basic models are very affordable.
If you can afford a new car, do so. Cars depreciate very quickly, but Japanese brands tend to have a better resale value. I still see my very first car passing around town every once and awhile. It was a Mazda MX-3, made in '93. I sold it for $5,000 five years ago with 178,000 km on it.

whoa...sounds powerful...but i would never drop 28000 on a neon, before taxes...no matter what it comes with. But thats just me
I ended up with the Mazda 3 Sport with AT, AC, moon, tints, in lava red...pick it up tuesday...cant wait
