Ok, since the hip are playing toronto in november and we are tired of this setlist being the same, heres what they should do.
In september they should post on their website a message saying "YOU THE FANS CAN VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE SONGS, THE TOP 5 SONGS WILL BE PLAYED THAT NIGHT." EXCEPTIONS ARE ANY SONGS FROM THE EP AND OF COURSE FIDDLERS GREEN"
you can only vote once (ip address recorded)!
I think the hip should do something like this, i'd let the voting go for 2 weeks and give the rest of the time for the band to re-learn the songs.
AND IF ANYBODY HERE WERE TO VOTE FOR NEWO... :rambo: :rambo:
what do ya guys think?

I don't know, man, everybody will probably agree with me that the EP is the greatest Hip album there is and the new setlist should exclusively feature songs from it.... eh?... eh?...
No, but seriously, sounds like a good idea to me...

maybe if they get like a 100 emails from us , they might get the point. I mean they wouldnt be where they are today if it wasnt for those older songs and the fans who love them!

We should have a mutual messgae we all send. That way we can just copy and paste and it'll get really annoying...

There was a similar campaign during the M@W tour over on the NG. And I don't know if the two were related... but a lot of unplucked gems were played on that tour. And didn't PJ do something similar to this?
I think that if the right people are targeted (i.e. e-mailng management will just look amateurish, we need somebody with access to Sinclair) and it's done properly (One or two forum letters, explaining who we are, signed by all of us and suggesting the idea) it could actually work.
And afterwords we should all get together at the Lofty Pines Motel.

I would not think the campaign and the M@W tour were related. Those were the Evening with shows and there was alot more variety becuase they were playing 30 songs a night.
Even then I would not have called it bringing out the rare gems. I'm not sure of their reasoning but it seems pretty clear they are not chomping at the bit to play Another Midnight, Fight, or any non-hit single type songs from the earlier albums.

This sounds totally groovy. My vote would be for leave. They played it 3 times I think at the album premiers but man would I love to see them play this tune. :jump

also 1 more thing. as the votes go in, you will not be allowed to see the results. Could you imagine the tension?
Lets come up with a generic email and them hit them with it, HARD!
