Browser software
#1

Just wondering what everyone else uses for their internet browser.
I've used Mozilla a while ago (I really miss the tabbed browsing), but got rid of it because it was in early stages of development and it was too buggy. Using IE now and hate it, too many flaws, lack of security and features.

I've heard from a number of people that Mozilla Firefox is the way to go. I guess it works flawlessly with all the major plugins such as Google toolbar, Java, Quicktime, etc... and is extremely secure and stable.

Any thoughts?

Cheers!

I had way too many problems with IE so I got rid of it entirely...but I have been using Netscape Nav for a year now and I have no complaints. I didn't like it years ago, and IE seemed a little more friendly, but for the past year Nav has been everything I needed. I love how you can have multiple browsing windows without multiple icons taking up your taskbar/footer.

A lot of people like that feature, but I hate it. I like being able to quickly ALT+TAB through my applications quickly. I'm sure there's a way to shuffle through tabs as well, but then there's one way to shuffle through the tabs and another way to shuffle through applications/windows. I use the internet in conjunction with other programs too much for me to like the tabs (at least so far).

For any of you that haven't tried Opera, I'd strongly recommend it. I don't use it much, because of the tabs, but it's a very solid and very compatible browser.

Just switched a few weeks ago to Firefox from IE and I love it. No troubles with it at all so far and I love the tabbing and bookmarking features. Google toolbar works great and I haven't had a single pop-up since I started using it.

Just made the switch myself. Good stuff :thumb: Not one bug or problem yet. I'll never go back to IE. Thanks for the input. IE lovers note: Microsoft is working on IE 7 and apparently it will have tabs.
