Only 3 tries? Fuck man and I bet you're gonna rub it all in our faces that you got your grade 10...Julian's always rubbin it in my face that he got his and making me sound stupid and that I don't know what I'm talkin about or the words for what I'm sayin or whatever just cause I don't got my grade 10...

It's my last semester/term/session...I graduate with a thoroughly worthless degree in December. Whenever anybody asks me what I want to do with an English degree my answer is always be a hobo.

Down here in the states.
In order for us to advance past grade 10.
We have to pass the year end spelling bee.
This year, with the help of Gord, I finally got my word correct.
Autodidact.
But then out of the blue, they asked me what it meant.
Well, 10th grade, here I come again.

OK, I just re-read this.
And now I see what happens when I pull a Lord Brazle and drink on a Tuesday night.
Ah well, the wife will be home in five more days.

I think Guelph is blessed with one of the latest start times, first class is Sept. 13.
grooveless, you're an English major as well? I get bugged, repeatedly I might add about what I'm going to do with my English degree. Hobo-I like that...

As a fellow English Degree holder, I find the life of a hobo rather relaxing. I was stupid enough to also minor in history...now I can't even spell Gettiesburg, let alone adress. However, I can recite the slogan on a Budweiser can backwards and forwards (I know our 3% beer is like tap water...I was young)

Yup, English majors are like ants...we exist only to propagate the species. English teachers beget English teachers. If they stopped teaching English today the world of the future would lose only English teachers...

AHHHH Guelph and Laurier and their Sept. 13 start dates.
Rye High....errrr...Ryerson Polytech....errr Ryerson University starts on the 7th, and I think we end in April later than everyone else too, or so i recall from year 1? Where's the justice.
Anyway thanks for the wishes Ron, good luck to everyone. 2nd year journalism is apparently the killer of the four years, so we'll see how that goes.

I always loved that about Guelph. We were always one of the last schools to start back, and one of the first to be finished. I remember in my first year, Guelph didn't have a reading week, we had a long weekend (Friday and Monday off). It was sucky in the middle of February but was awesome come April. I was finished before Easter, which was early April that year. I had finished school and gone to the Dominican Republic for 2 weeks before my friends at Western or Laurier had even finished exams. That was a LONG time ago though...like 13ish year...man I'm getting old.
I would give anything to be going back to school again. Call me strange but I miss the fun days of University.
