I don't know about you guys, but I'll be the one in SYRACUSE half-wased and screaming the words to just about every song. I'm apologizing in advance. For those who want to join me, or will do said screaming at other concerts. VOTE NOW. Otherwise vote no.

I voted yes. And I don't care what my non-hipster friends think. If the croud is 'cool' enough, the non-screamers will be the gross minority.

Tough one to vote on. I'm always singing, but I can't even hear myself doing it at a concert, so there is no way that I'm bothering anyone else.
Screaming out the words is another thing all together though. There always seems to be someone nearby who is screaming loud enough to actually make themselves heard above the band. I'm not sure that's entirely necessary.
This goes out to everyone: have fun and sing along by all means, but please remember that we paid to hear Gord's voice, not yours! Also, there's usually a really good reason why the screamers in the crowd have never made a living from professional singing!

I was listening to the Darien show this morning.
And you can hear the crowd very loud during Wheat Kings.
You can tell Gord changes the delivery to not have the crowd with him.
I read in a book something Gord said about singing along at concerts, but right now I cannot remember what it said.

I always sing...but quietly...almost just lip-syncing (I learned this from Britney Spears, haha)...because I don't want to bother the people sitting by me...just common courtesy.

Agreed... singing along (inside voice) good.....having to stare at your girlfriends' most likely very large ass while on your shoulders... not good.
Oh yeah, and getting a boot in the head from you crowd surfers sucks bigtime too...but I'm going off on a tangent here...we've already done the "Concert fool" thread. We should all scroll back from time to time to brush up on our concerto manners.

I gotta disagree with you all....
For sure... don't just scream incessantly, but I see nothing wrong with singing along - loudly even.... C'mon, the energy in a concert when there's 16000 people singing along with Gord!! I remember a show in Hamilton years ago where the crowd literally drowned out Gord during Blow... I thought it was magical....

I saw Neil Young peform all of Greendale in it's entirety on his last tour. Not knowing a single word, I was astounded. Props to Neil for being so ballsy.
It's nice when you know the words, but not always needed to enjoy. I like when bands play their new stuff.

I do not scream - I mouth the words, and kinda feel proud of myself if I get the rants down pat. Mainly, I am one of those guys who has to hold on to the chair in front of me (if it's not GA) to keep myself from falling because I'm going ballistic when the band goes double time during Meridian!
