As a Hip fan, what do you collect?
#1

Ok, so you're a Hip fan..but as a fan do you collect things related to The Hip? Some fans collect bootlegs videos and concerts. Others collect posters, ticket stubs, T-shirts. Do you just enjoy the music? What do you collect?

I have a few things I've started attaining. Some items I have in my collection are:

An original Setlist
Roxy Revisted CD (finally a clean version of KillerWhaleTank!)
A number of concert bootlegs
A Backstage Pass from the Phantom Menace Tour.
Many promo single CD's

Most items I picked up via Ebay and with the release of IVL, there has been more activity on the Ebay. Just do a search on "Tragically Hip".

Good topic! I have too many things to list...but just to mention a few:

- All their CD's
- About 20 bootleg CDs
- About 15 bootleg audio tapes
- About 15 different imported and hard to find singles and promos

That's the music, but as for memorabilia:

- An entire photo album full of my own pictures from concerts and from meeting the band
- 7 different autographed items
- Two dozen Hip pins (that were custom made, very cool looking)
- 11 different Hip concert shirts
- 2 Tab books
- 5 concert posters (all mounted and framed)
- 4 different Media Kits (includes b&w promo shots, press releases)
- 3 Bumper Stickers
- 2 different Dog Tags
-2 Hip baseball caps
-1 Hip hockey jersey
-1 Gord soaked (sweat) towel from a concert
- 8 different setlists (two auto'd)
- all 18 ticket stubs from the concerts I've seen so far

I think that's about it...for now. But the pile o' memorabilia grows with every passing year! Smile

Later!

Wow! Nice Kari..great collection and still more to come I'm sure!

I'd love to get a cd or poster autographed by the band but I'd never purcahase it. It wouldn't have the same meaning to me unless I was there and asked them to sign it for me.

Anyone else?

Gord gave me my username as well. I locked my keys in my car at a concert one time. So as I waited for the locksmith guy, I stood around where all the groupies usually wait - ended up chatting it up with the band, Kate and Chris as well - anyways - Gord signed my ticket stub beevos voice - I could barely speak - I went to 3 shows in five days and my voice was shot.

Hey guys and gals,

These lists are incredible!

I wonder if you could all do me a favour? Can I introduce you all to my friends so they see that there are Hip fans out there that are even nuttier than me?

My buds think I'm this complete Hip freak, but I chose to collect minimum. I don't know why..maybe just to keep my imagination fresh?

I simply listen to live Hip day and night. Nothing else...Ok maybe that is wierd. Is it?

Mats.
