Saw that post a month ago, and what a kick ass idea. Think anything will come of this?
If the boys play in hamilton on new years, we should try and organize something.
What do you guys think?

Doubt it will happen, but if it does, count me in! Unless they decide to take the NYE show to London (I wish), Im glad its still in Hamilton, such an easy drive from here. This is a great idea by the way, when/if its announced I say we book some space somewhere and get hammered! I wish we could have our own Hipbase section at concerts, that would be sweeeeet! :thumb:

Seriously. We could all meet up in toronto, find a bar, have our "convention", then rent a bus to go to Hamilton. I think this is a phenomenal idea. Who was it that originally posted this?

Thanks fellas. My only wish is that one day, this crazy fantasy could become a reality. I believe that if enough of us really care about the Tragically Hip, we will take the initiative to organize a full-scale extravoganza!

The biggest problem is getting everyone together, we are so spread out. We would have to do it locally amongst ourselves, like a local chapters type thing. I will gladly take the initative and get a Southwestern Ontario chapter going, if the commitment is there. If the Hip decide to play London again or somewhere nearby, I will set up a hipbase gathering for all the ones planning to attend the show. It will be wild! As for the NYE show, going to Toronto first is out of the question, not only cause I hate TO, but driving there in the winter leaving my car there taking a bus down the QEW wasting valuable drinking time and money and taking a bus back to TO, then having to go back to London!! Your mad!
