info@visitcharlottetown.com is where you write to tell them which bands you want to see, by the way.

I sent an email. Short and sweet; I probably could have made it a bit better. Oh well, lets hope Charlottetown considers it.
sean.bonner Wrote:I heard throught the grapevine that suggestions are being taken for possible bands for the Festival Of Lights.
I know for a fact that The Tragically Hip are doing concerts here and there this summer for various festivals, and I believe that they would be an excellent choice. Not only would you be hosting the only Tragically Hip concert in the maritimes this summer, you would be drawing many tourists and die hard fans (which are not hard to come by). The Tragically Hip are the epitome of Canada, and frankly I would argue that there is no better choice than them.
Charlottetown has come across an excellent oppurtunity with The Tragically Hip, and I hope that you seize it.
Sincerely,
Sean Bonner

My BIGGEST question(s) is this:
WHY WOULD THE HIP BE PLAYING ON THE SECOND NIGHT AND HOW COULD THEY NOT BE THE VERY LAST BAND HEADLINING ON THE THIRD AND FINAL NIGHT?

That's what i meant, on the final night. Last year they cut it back to 2 nights (Trews, Finger 11 & Lifehouse the first night...3 Doors Down & a few other bands i didn't know the 2nd night), but it could be 3 nights long again this summer, i have no clue. I emailed her asking which band her son was in, because they definitely just don't ask any band out of the blue to play at the FOTL.

Yeah we left after the 2nd or 3rd song as well. Live were great, I always wanted to see them live & honestly never expected them to come to PEI. Hopefully the line-up this summer will be better than last years (i loved 2003 & 2004's...didn't even go last year) - and yeah, the Hip would be awesome.

Ain't it the way. Just when I move off the Island, the come and play. This happened to me during the Live Between Us tour.
A trip back to the Island may be in order if this happens

sweeeeeeeeeeet. I've been e-mailing all winter requesting The Hip, Sloan and/or Sam Roberts. The Hip at the festival would be amazing. much better than last year, although the free Canada day show with Matt Mays, the Novaks, and the Chucky Danger Band was wicked.

Wow! This will be amazing!
Typically, when is the Festival Of Lights?
