Transportation to-from Belleville
#1

I'm starting this as a new thread, but will not be offended if it gets merged into the other one.

With a lot of us coming from the GTA, and just as many of us needing to get back for work on Thursday, what are the thoughts on car pooling? With the price of gas as high as it is, and the nightmare that will be rush hour trafic coming out of the east end, I think it would be great for us to pool our collective selves together to get to the show, in lieu of the traditional pre-show meet and greet -- unless of course we're considering the line-up outside the venue as the pre-show meet for this round.

This would be a great way for all of us to help meet the one tonne challange -- wait, that program was killed in the budget. Regardless, we can still help the country try to meet its Kyoto quotas by pooling together -- wait, that also doesn't apply to us anymore. Anyway, we can still "save the planet" -- I couldn't help it.

If you're interested post here or send me a pm with your email. We'll see where everyone is coming from and try to figure out the best possible place to meet up and send the wagons east.

Cheers,

Pat

Im not going but did anyone think of seeing how expensive a school bus would be to rent for the night... depending on the number of peole you have going it might be a fun way to go... one big DD...

Have fun at the show.. if Iwasnt heading to Montreal for the Canadian GP i would have been all over getting tickets for that show.

FYI...........

the company I work for in Belleville just recently rented a charter bus for an event in downtown Toronto. (not full size, sits I think 25 people or so), but has a bathroom etc.

Anyways, the bus from Belleville to Toronto, round trip cost them roughly $800.......so, if you had a full bus it would roughly be arouind $35/person........

(P.S. It was only about $50 more than what a school bus was going to cost)

Car pooling is a good idea. A car full of Hip fans with some Hip on the stereo would be an excellent way to get the night started.

Does anyone in the GTA need a ride or have a spare seat (or three) in their car?

SirMatticus....

I'll have an extra seat in my car. I'm picking up Chris and Trevor near the airport and can pick you up on the way down the 401.

I'm going to try and get away from my work around 4:15pm.....

Can this work for you?

Thanks for the offer! I can meet up anytime after 12PM (extremely flexible hours where I work) so this would work!

I can't believe you actually have tickets this time. Usually Jamie just says he does, but its a big lie. He wants you to believe that he likes seeing the band, but he doesn't really care. Fake fan.
